Asaph, the writer of Psalm 73, didn't just pull out a pen and begin to write he pulled out an instrument and the hum of his heart went before the living God. He lifted up the need before the Almighty all the while recognizing and comprehending the Creator of heaven and earth. He didn't allow any situation or circumstance to be greater than the Lord. He submitted himself to God. Do not despise the day of small beginnings. Zechariah 4:10 Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.” (The seven lamps represent the eyes of the LORD that search all around the world.) Psalm 77:10-14 God declares His strength to His people... 72:17-20 His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed. Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things. And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen. The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended. Psalm 73:24-28 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee. But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works. Psalm 73:1-28 Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. Keep the Lord's joy The joy you have is addicting. John 15:10-11 If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. The famine in Joseph's time was predicted all over the land, yet God had a plan. Genesis chapters 41-50 Genesis 41:14-16 So Pharaoh sent for Joseph, who was quickly brought out of the dungeon. After he had shaved and changed his clothes, he went in before Pharaoh. Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I had a dream, and no one can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.” “I myself cannot do it,” Joseph replied, “but God will give Pharaoh a sound answer.”… Genesis 46:1-7 Jacob trusting God, again. Genesis 50:19-21 But Joseph replied, “Do not be afraid. Am I in the place of God? As for you, what you intended against me for evil, God intended for good, in order to accomplish a day like this— to preserve the lives of many people. Therefore, do not be afraid. I will provide for you and your little ones.” So Joseph reassured his brothers and spoke kindly to them. A Sticky note on my desk, Help me to behold you Lord, and esteem you higher than any other. Lord help me not to despise your word. Zechariah 4:10 ... For who has despised the day of small things?.... Youtube https://youtu.be/mFu-0AlsVbE
