OUR HIGH TOWER There is a resting place that we long for. Jesus is that resting place is resting place. The Lord is our mercy seat where our heart rests. Psalm 18:1-3 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so, shall I be saved from mine enemies. Scripture for thought: Luke 10:18-21 Moses Exodus 34:5-7 Then the LORD came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the LORD. And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion, and sin… I AM THAT I AM Exodus 3:13-15 (14) God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “You shall say this to the Israelites, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” What God is in our hearts: He is the life, truth, peace, strength, wisdom, knowledge, joy, healing, and healer of the brokenhearted. Scripture for thought: Lamentations 3:19-26 I know when I have grieved the Holy Spirit; you know that moment when we get upset and will not let Him help. The anger, depression, heartache, pain, lack of understanding, and leaning on our strength are all solved when we sit our hearts down in the mercy seat (Jesus) and let our hearts be crucified in Christ.
