Without the shedding of blood, resulting in the death of the sacrifice, there is no remission. The Old Testament sacrificial system was symbolic of Jesus sacrifice on the cross. But unlike the many repeated sacrifices of animals, Jesus was the perfect sacrifice, shedding his blood once for all.
