Psalm 8 looks at the majestic sweep of creation - the stars and the moon - and wonders how it is that God is mindful of human beings. Given the scale of the universe and our tiny solar system residing in a modest galaxy among millions of galaxies, it is natural to imagine we are small and insignificant. But Gods love does not operate on the level of physical scale at all and it is a very common mistake when we equate size with importance. Small things matter.
