Often when we think of faith it sounds like something we should "have," something that is innate to our being human. It turns out that we do have a divine spark, a sense of the holy, but that growth in that awareness and in faith becoming active in our daily life requires practice. Though that practice is needed at all times, it is in the difficult seasons of life that we have an opportunity to pay attention, root in our faith, and grow in love of God and neighbor.
