Often we think of forgiveness as reconciliation as renewing of relationship with the one that has harmed, hurt, or caused us loss. Tutu helps us see that there is another way that goes beyond this binary and invites us into a type of liberation that centers forgiveness and also our continued physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
