In the thirteenth chapter of Mathew Jesus offers seven parables. It is worth noting that Jesus taught by telling stories. Stories and images can animate our imagination and arouse our curiosity. A story invites the listener to participate more deeply than when a teacher merely TELLS you something. For the next seven weeks we will sit with Jesus by the lake and explore these stories about the spiritual dimension. This weekend in our physical services, Dr. Jim Keck will offer a sermon on the great Parable of the Sower.
