The battle to be ourselves happens to all of us, whether we’re the president, pastor, teacher, loud, quiet, introvert, or extrovert. We cannot escape the temptation life presents to be fake. This battle has defeated the best of us, but the good news is that there’s a way out. The fear of rejection doesn’t have to restrict you. We all want to be accepted, that’s the bottom line. It’s almost like it’s easier to hide, and that’s because it is easier. A person being true to who they are is hard, but the reality is it doesn’t have to stay hard.
