Episode Notes
Crosswinds - Moving Forward
With Bishop Ronald K. Powell
Jesus Said:
•John 10:10 New King James Version (NKJV)
•10The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
What Is Abundant Life?
To have an abundance of something is to have more than you need.
It's often used to describe positive qualities, such as "an abundance of love."
Abundance is the opposite of scarcity. An abundance of wealth is a ton of cash.
How do you live an abundant life?
•Have abundance mentality. ...
•Be grateful for what you have. ...
•Smile. ...
•Start your days right. ...
•Prepare yourself for opportunities. ...
•Make the most out of every opportunity.
“abundant” in the Greek
This word is perisson, meaning “exceedingly, very highly, beyond measure, more, superfluous, a quantity so abundant as to be considerably more than what one would expect or anticipate.”
Jesus promises us a life far better than we could ever imagine, a concept reminiscent of 1 Corinthians 2:9: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.” The apostle Paul tells us that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, and He does it by His power, a power that is at work within us if we belong to Him (Ephesians 3:20).
Is this all that Is?
•BETTER IS COMING
Ecclesiastes 7:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

than the proud in spirit.

13Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do,forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
New Wine Skins
•Matthew 9:17 New King James Version (NKJV)
•17Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
•New, Bigger, Better…Lies in our future.
•Mark 11:25 New King James Version (NKJV)
•Forgiveness and Prayer
•25“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
•LEAVE IT BEHIND…
•Bury the past
•Quit talking about the past, about past hurts, about past disappointments, even past victories.
•Holding on to the past anchors you to the past.
•God has better for us if we let go of the past and press on day by day
You can’t have a scarcity mentality and an abundant life.
•Proverbs 4:18 New King James Version (NKJV)
•18But the path of the just islike the shining sun,That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.
More than enough
•We have to adopt an over flow mentality!
•We must leave not enough mentality behind!
•We have to have agreement with God’s Word!
•We must get on God’s page and become more than we can ask or think.
Last thing
•Hebrews 6:1 New King James Version (NKJV)
•The Peril of Not Progressing
•6Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principlesof Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
Let’s all Pray
