Light after darkness: The gospel recovered

Sola Gratia = Grace alone

Sola Gratia is one of the material principles of the Reformation.

What is grace? Grace is God's unmerited favor toward sinners. It is God's Riches At Christ's Expense.

Facets of Grace:

A. Grace to save  Eph. 2:5-9; Titus 2:11

B. Grace to sanctify  1 Cor. 15:10; Titus 2:12-14

Fountains of Grace:

1. The Bible -  Acts 20:32

2. Prayer - Heb. 4:15-16

3. Christian Fellowship - 1 Peter 4:10

Grace Blockers:

1. Pride -  James 4:6-7

2. Bitterness - Heb. 12:15

3. Idolatry - Jonah 2:8

May the grace of Christ our Savior and the Father's boundless love, with the Holy Spirit's favor, rest upon us from above. — John Newton
