The outward sign of circumcision or any other human work is not what saves a person. Sinners must receive a new spiritual heart which comes by faith in Jesus Christ and repentance resulting in rebirth by the Holy Spirit.

What was the meaning of the sign of
circumcision?
1. Symbolized the Jews belonging to God
2. Symbolized their ongoing need for cleansing from sin.
Romans 2:29 - “circumcision is a
matter of the heart.”
Deut. 10:16, Acts 2:37, Isaiah 29:13
Salvation is a matter of the
heart.”
Only the Holy Spirit can do a spiritual heart transplant.
I guess it all comes down to where your heart is. It's there your
thoughts and feelings all begin, and if you never give your heart to
Jesus, you'll never really have a part with Him.
