Eschatology: The study of the return of Christ and the end of human history.

Millennium: A period of 1,000 years
Amillennialism: The belief that biblical references to the millennium are merely metaphors for the earthly reign of Christ.
Rapture: The "catching away" of the church to heaven as spoken of in 1 Thess. 4:17.
Premillennialism: The belief that the Second Advent of Christ will be preceded by the rapture, a period of tribulation and judgment on the earth, after which Christ will reign on the earth for a literal 1,000 years.
