The Secret of Greatness

Follow: The Secret to Greatness, Mark 9:30-37

The disciples give us an example of how not to be great.

Jesus describes what greatness really looks like.

3.  Greatness Demonstrated

Jesus used a child in a visual parable of greatness.

Jesus used the cross as the ultimate example of servant-hood.

“And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 5:2

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

“He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” Romans 8:32

The secret to greatness is serving others, and there is no better example of that than the cross.
