Over the last several weeks, as we have taken a tour through 1st and 2nd Peter, we have seen the thread Peter has woven into these letters. This is ultimately the idea that we need to Stand Firm in Faith in the face of fiery trials, opposition, and heresy. Stand Hopeful (Our Promise is greater than our sorrows) Stand Your Ground (Don’t be Swayed) Stand Secure (God is never taken by surprise, Trust Him) Stand Fast (Fixed in Place) Stand Rooted (on the word) Stand in the Light (using the Word) That brings us to today, we need to Stand Ready.
