This weekend at APC, we continued our series “Why We Believe What We Believe.” Pastor Jeff began a mini-series titled, “Holy Sexuality,” where he explains a biblical and theological perspective of human sexuality. This series is based on APC doctrine points: (7) We believe that sexual purity is a necessary expression for all of God’s children; and that it requires abstinence from adultery, fornication, incest, homosexuality, or and other sexual relationships or practices forbidden by Scripture. (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18, Leviticus 18:1-30)   (8) We believe that God created humankind, male and female; and that these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Genesis 1:27, 1 Corinthians 11:11-12)   (9) We believe that marriage is the uniting of one man to one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime and is a sacred institution established by God.
