It starts the day we are born. We want it from our parents. We want it from our friends and teachers. It continues throughout life and it can send us on an endless pursuit. What is it? A desire to have our souls quenched and satisfied. In John 7, Jesus provides a loud invitation to come and be fully satisfied by virtue of the indwelling Spirit of Christ in our lives. If we ask, He’ll satisfy and quench the emptiness in our souls.
