The New Year

January 05, 2020
Rev. Dennis R. Hartman

The New Year has begun, and the changing of the old year into the new year is filled with traditions. Celebrate the old year leaving; partying; staying up till midnight; shooting off fireworks or making noise. Singing the song; Auld Lang Syne, remembering old friends and the events of the past year; committing to do the same in the new year. Resolutions that are made for the new year. While this is a common practice for people, there is a better new year to remember if we are believers. Our new year does not come on January 1st, but rather in the spring time. To try and remember what we are committed to, we remember our new year as new beginnings once a month.
