Verses 1-12 – ABOUT YOU:
Pray for others that God would give them:
1. Knowledge
2. Obedience (Good works)
3. Strength
4. Freedom & Joy in the Lord
VERSES 15-20 – ABOUT JESUS:
“He is the image of the invisible God”, “All things are held together in him”, “God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in the Son”
VERSES 28-29 – ABOUT THE CHURCH:
The primary job of the church is to help people grow and mature in their faith, especially through teaching
WHAT GOD HAS DONE:
Qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. Delivered and Transferred us. (Verses 1:12-14, 21-23)
Reconciled us, made us blameless, given us Hope. ( Verses 22,27)
HOW HE DID IT:
Through the blood of Jesus on the Cross (Verses 20,22)
It’s personal – he did this for you. This is not about being more or less religious, this is about being on two different trains. Which train are you on ?
