Recent neuroscience research indicates there is far more going on inside us then we realize. This is why it is so hard to change our selves - we don't even have access to some of the things that are broken in us - but God does. John the Baptist shows a way to live that opens us up to God's work deep beneath the surface of our lives. It is also a way to prepare for Christmas, it is the way of life that Advent is all about - Preparing and Turning to God.
