Standing with Others

So what are you thankful for? This question has been on our minds a lot this week. Our lists are long! We need to be thankful for the people who have made a contribution to our lives. Those who have been there for us when life has been tough and when life has been good.

1. God does not intend for us to be alone.
Genesis 2:18 – The Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.’
2. God designed us to cooperate.
I Corinthians 12:12 – Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. I Peter 2:9 – You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood.
3. We must embrace interdependence.
I Corinthians 12:26 – If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. (Dependent, Independent, Interdependent)
Conclusion: Strive to be the source of support and encouragement that those around us need.
