Getting Glimpse of God

How many thousands of times did the cry for help go out in Huston, TX, this past week? Listen closely, we can almost hear the cry, “Help, Help, Please, Someone help me!” The Holy Spirit, God’s gift to every believer, is the One who will help us and enable us to live beyond our means.

    1. Realize our need for the Holy Spirit.
    2. Repent of any sin in our lives – Acts 2:38, Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every on of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
    3. Consecrate everything to God - Romans 12:1-2, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God - this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of you mind, Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will."  
    4. Ask the Father to fill us with the Holy Spirit - Luke 11:13, "If you then though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to you children, how much more will your Father in heaven give you Holy Spirit to those who as Him!"

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled." Matthew 5:6
