Suffering and the Cross

The temptation is to see our suffering as a means to end, but it through suffering that Jesus draws us even closer to Him in faith. Likewise, the temptation is to see the cross as a means to an end, when, in reality, we never move past it. As Martin Luther has said, "Crux sola est nostra theologia,” meaning, “The cross alone is our theology." God is hidden in our suffering.
