Who is Satan? Where did he come from?

- A created angelic being. One of the sons of God. Job 38:7, Col 1:16
- Anointed cherub: covered, fiery stones, holy mountain Ezekiel 28:14
- Perfect in all ways, and beautiful. Ezekiel 28:13,15
- His heart was corrupted by his beauty & perfection. Ezekiel 28:17
- He believed he should be God. Ezekiel 28:1, Isaiah 14:13-14
What is his real name? Do we know it? (character traits than names)
What is his goal? (chaos, pain, destruction) How does he accomplish it?
Have faith your victory has been won!
- Slanders God to men by twisting God’s Words. Genesis 3:1-5
- Accuses God & men of sin. Job 4:17-18, Zechariah 3:1-5
- Confuses, deceives, and leads astray. 2 Corinthians 11:1-5,12-15
- Tempts us to doubt God, test God, take the easy way. Matthew 4:1-11
- Blinds people to the truth of God’s love in Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:4
- He is a liar & the father of lies. John 8:44
- He persecutes & oppresses the Church & Christians
Have faith your victory has been won!
Prepare yourself to fight!
- Expect evil: 1 Peter 4:12
- Hate evil: Romans 12:19
- Pray for escape: Matthew 6:13
- Expose evil: Ephesians 5:11
- Overcome evil with good: Romans 12:21
- Resist evil: James 4:7
- Jesus in you is greater than devil outside you. 1 John 4:4
- Nothing can separate us from God’s love. Romans 8:37-39
- Gates of hell cannot prevail against the Church. Matthew 16:18
