Using the Time Bound to Secure the Eternal (Olaf)

This homily was preached during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered at: Saint Olaf Catholic Church 215 S. 8th Street Minneapolis, MN 55402 During the summer of 2015, shortly after my ordination to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ, I was offered an opportunity to serve among a group of several priests who assist Fr. Patrick Kennedy, the pastor of Saint Olaf Catholic Church by celebrating Eucharist on those occasions when he or the other parish priests were unable to do so. Most often, I have served as the guest celebrant at Daily Masses, but I have also had the joy of being the celebrant at the 4:00 PM Sunday Mass. I consider this opportunity one the great gifts that the Lord granted to me in the formative months of my priestly service.
