Homily - The Father’s Infuriating Love (TGH2)

“The Father loves the Son and has given everything over to him. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him.

Those who think that they can live faithfully to Christ — Loving him as the Father loves him — Without deeply offending those who do not love the Son with all their soul...

Are fooling only themselves!

“When they heard this, they became infuriated and wanted to put them to death.”

The Father’s love for the Son so infuriates those who do not love Him!
That they would rather rush headlong into the Father’s wrath than love Jesus Christ as the Father does!

May we not follow their example, but follow the Father who loved his Son with an infuriating love!
