Main Point: By the testimony of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, Christ came take on our sin and impute His righteousness upon us through His death and resurrection.

Episode Notes

At this moment the Kingdom of heaven has broken through the heavenly realms to the earth to bear witness that Jesus is truly the Christ. It is an undeniable moment for those who are in Christ and will bring about eternal shame to those who see plainly the glory of God but refused to believe. Christ truly took our sin upon His shoulders and placed His righteousness (His yoke) upon us so that we could "make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that He has commanded us, knowing that He is with us always to the end of the age."

Why does Baptism matter? 1.) It is a public declaration that Christ is your LORD and your God. 2.) It is a public declaration that you are saved not by your own merits but through the work of Christ. 3.) It is a public declaration of your dependence on God for righteous living. 4.) Most importantly it is a public declaration that you are united with Christ through His death and resurrection so that you can walk in newness of life to the glory of GOD. Sola Deo Gloria.
